Addiction - 10-21-10

Everybody’s addicted to something.  It’s not always alcohol, cigarettes, or crystal meth.  As a boy I was addicted to card tricks.  It got to a point where it was all I did all day.  People tried to help me, but I wouldn’t listen.

Now, I do magic shows night after night, for decade after decade.  I get so much satisfaction out of my work, I pour so much of myself into it and get so much approval back.  Every now and then, when I handle a deck of cards, I almost have an orgasm.
