A Computer Problem - 1-27-10My wife Bozena's folks are in their 80's and live Poland. This past Christmas Bo bought her father his first computer and it all started with a lie. When she told him she was getting him a computer, he said "Those things cost too much, I don't want you spending all your money on a big gift." She said, "Dad it's no big deal." "It's too much money. I'll send it right back. Right back. I'm not accepting it." So she lied. "Look dad, a friend of mine runs a computer store and he's giving me the wholesale price... twenty-five dollars." Pause. "Well, twenty-five dollars isn't bad. Okay you can spend twenty-five dollars. That's a fair amount." Yesterday, we received a check from Bo's dad for a hundred dollars. He wants four more computers for the neighbors. << Return to Steve Spill's Blog Home > Steve Spill > Blog > A Computer Problem |
